Mike Beedell
Mike Beedell is a seasoned wilderness leader who has 30 years experience guiding small groups of individuals into places less traveled.
As an avid outdoor educator, Mike enjoys sharing his knowledge of the landscape, history and wildlife behaviour. He also teaches wilderness travel skills to participants.
As an international award-winning photographer, Mike is able to offer guidance in photographic technique, composition and artistic approaches through informal or formal sessions.
Mike is the author of the Canadian best seller The Magnetic North and photographer for the Canadian Geographic/Key Porter book, The Northwest Passage with author Ed Struzik.
Over the past 25 years, Mike has been a regular contributor to some of the finest international magazines including features in National Geographic, Geo Germany, Equinox and Canadian Geographic.
Mike’s love for the wilderness is infectious. His sense of humour, expertise and a sensitivity to others; contributes to a most memorable and enriching traveling experience.
Bonnie Kumer
Bonnie has been nutritionist & natural foods chef for over 15 years. After obtaining a degree in nutrition from Ryerson University, and completing a dietetic internship at the Toronto Hospital, Bonnie opened a private practice specializing in healthy menu planning and teaching natural foods cooking.
Bonnie has over 20 years of canoe trip experience in Temagami, & Algonquin Park along with extensive backcountry hiking through British Columbia and the Yukon national parks.
Combining her knowledge of nutrition and her experience as an avid outdoors person, she has developed the art of preparing healthy flavourful meals in the great beyond.
Bonnie also plays the banjo serenading folks with old-time music and shares campfire folk songs.
